Shaw: “We Welcome Hilderbran’s Willingness to work with Texas Hospitals”

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Today the Texas Hospital Association PAC (HOSPAC) endorsed Harvey Hilderbran in the Republican primary for Texas Comptroller.

Chairman Hilderbran said, “I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Texas Hospital Association (HOSPAC).  Over my career, I have worked closely with THA, on behalf of their nearly 370,000 health care professionals, to help them advance their mission of making ‘quality, compassionate, affordable health care accessible to all Texans.’  When it comes supporting tort reform, health information technology and patient quality issues, I am proud of my record of standing with our Texas hospitals.  I am very pleased to have earned their support in the race for Texas Comptroller, and I appreciate their vote of confidence in my record, vision, passion and leadership.”

Hilderbran has been a member of the Texas House and Ways committee for four terms and chairman for three years.  Over his career, he has worked closely with THA, including when he was chairman of the Human Services committee.

“Texas hospitals deliver the highest quality patient care even as they experience numerous finance and reimbursement challenges,” said Ted Shaw, THA president / CEO. “We welcome Harvey Hilderbran’s willingness to work with Texas hospitals to champion their successes and develop solutions to their challenges while also addressing the complex needs of our growing state.”

Hilderbran also recently received the endorsement of the Texas Medical Association PAC (TEXPAC) and the Texas Association of Business PAC (BACPAC), among many others.
